CSBA: Small World!

Last week, we were given a tip by one of our loyal readers.  We missed something obvious.  Because to us, the Sheriff's race in Harris County was really just a circling moon in the universe that is Candice Schwager, we didn't pay attention to every blog post concerning Guthrie for Sheriff.

Does the name Bryan Pyne ring any bells?

Well, to put it bluntly Bryan Pyne is/was the @Guthrie4Sheriff piggy bank.  In fact Richard Dillon at the Patriot Statesman posted two entries that detailed the $19,909.59 campaign contribution that Mr. Pyne made to the Guthrie Campaign and the staggering $141,000 in loans made by Bryan Pyne to the Guthrie for Sheriff campaign coffers.  He also highlighted links between Pyne and adult entertainment in Houston.

Thats a lot of monetary involvement to come from one person for a county sheriff's race, don't you think? The Patriot Statesman was also one of the blogs to post a critical article about Candy. Here

Interestingly, Candice, under the handle "GOPElite" took to topix.com to put her two cents in about Dillon under the title: "Richard Dillon is bought."

A couple take away quotes from Candy's comments:

"He's a democrat pretending to be a republican for a democrat. He just makes up stories because he's illegit"
"Politics is full of prostitutes and it's deplorable the lengths grown men will go for cash. Who's he really rooting for? In any race? I lol when he pretended to be a man of faith. Right"
The comment about prostitutes is especially "juicy" given the blog posts at the Patriot Statesman about Pyne/Guthrie and that Guthrie was dubbed the "Titty Bar" candidate.

Several others commented back to Candice on topix and in turn, Candice changed handles several times to reply in her usual disjointed manner. One person pointed out that Candice was mad that Dillon wrote negative things about Candy and Guthrie.  We at CSBA think that may have been wrong.  We think Candy may actually have been trying to defend the "honor" of Bryan Pyne, not Guthrie.

Why is that you ask? Well besides being Guthrie for Sheriff's piggy bank, Bryan Pyne was listed as the owner of the White Mercedes SUV Candy was driving when she hit and nearly killed the 2 people on the motorcycle in the subsequent police report. Additional, in the police report it was noted that Candice was cited for not maintaining insurance. So Candice Schwager, Louis Guthrie's disavowed "campaign coordinator," driving and crashing an SUV owned by the campaign's piggy bank, Bryan Pyne—It certainly makes a person go, hmmm.  Was the SUV a perk for the not-the "campaign coordinator?" What a tangled web it is.

This leaves lots of questions. Tho, one thing is certain, this past election was very costly for Bryan Pyne- Guthrie Lost, Candice crashed his SUV, what else is there to say?
