DeleteThat is good advice as well. Being under the influence of pills or medication; regardless of them being OTC, prescribed by a Doctor or illicit; is also considered intoxication or influence in most jurisdictions.
It is important to note that Candy has in public forums, such as the Tun-Tavern-Patriot interview denied that she was drinking at the time of the accident. (Although, there is record of prior alcohol related offenses) Candice excludes from that interview that the police report only mentions a prescription/white pills.
If you didn't know, she had another appearance in court on 10/24/2012. Unlike the last 3 appearances where no real activity was logged, this time an order was issued for a Psych Evaluation to see if she is sane and competent to stand trial. At this time, the online records only indicate that a motion was made and the order issued. We assume that at some point in the next couple of weeks, the records will catch up and a scan of the actual motion will be posted. Until then, we can only wonder which party made the motion, was the motion made as a defense strategy, and how would being found incompetent to stand trial change the course of the trial.
Many of us who have observed Candice's actions over the past months/years have our own answer to the question "Is Candice Schwager Sane?" Time will tell what the court decides. Her next appearance in court is scheduled for 12/4/2012.
