Everything is Bigger in Texas: Like Bar Fines for Advertising Violations [Originally Posted Jan 3, 2012]

There are “content writing” branches of all the major web development companies and all I can say is “ouch” when you get popped by the Advertising Review Board for “content writing” that violates on of the many pages of Advertising Rules to which Lawyers are subject. I really find it unbelievable that any lawyer would hire a layperson to perform content writing for them and believe it’s very dangerous. While I would never say who, in a short review of firm sites the other day, I had to scream ouch! as I contemplated the fine coming for egregious violations that a lawyer can spot easily–not so with a copywriter or layman content writer. It was also my experience in law school that more than half of the students wrote poorly. In truth, writing is an art, whether legal or otherwise. Not everyone does it well. Panda likes good writing full of rich content and the State Bar likes websites that comply with the rules. As the granddaughter of Henrik Ibsen, the Doll’s House, writing is simply a gift I inherited for which I am deeply grateful. Of my skills, writing is simply what I do best. All that know me would agree. My rates are very reasonable and I have a knack for writing good content that has propelled three businesses to the top of the search engines. Please call me and find out for yourself. Whatever you decide, please use a lawyer. Call me [Phone Number and eMail Addy Removed].
